Our program provides high-quality care for children aged 3-5 years, with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, exploration, and holistic development. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team and look after 8 kids. As an ECE at Wildernest Childcare, you will play a key role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive wages and a supportive workplace culture.
Location
- 10-minute drive south of Golden, BC at Horse Creek
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support children's learning and well-being
- Supervise and engage with children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, and rest time
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and management
- Observe, document, and assess children's progress and behaviors
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the childcare facility
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators to support program goals
- Other duties as assigned within the child care.
Qualifications:
Basic ECE
Additional Qualifications:
- Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate in BC
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- A passion for outdoor learning and child development
- Ability to work alone with max 8 kids.
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in a licensed childcare setting (preferred)
- Additional courses/training related to child growth and development an asset

Salary & Benefits:
- $27.00-$29.00/per hour (including ECE wage enhancements)
