Job Description
We are seeking a warm, experienced, and dedicated Infant Toddler Educator (ECE-IT) to join our group daycare located in a serene, home-based carriage house setting. With a maximum capacity of 8 children and 1:4 educator-to-child ratio, this role offers a warm and stress-free working environment and the opportunity to develop great leadership skills while shaping the early experiences of infants and toddlers in a calm, nurturing, and developmentally informed environment.

Duties
- Develop and implement responsive programming for infants and toddlers that supports emotional security, sensory exploration, and developmental milestones.
- Guide children through daily routines including feeding, diapering, dressing, and rest with care and respect.
- Observe and document each child’s growth, behaviors, and progress; communicate insights with families.
- Maintain strong partnerships with parents through regular communication and collaboration.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment that meets licensing and public health standards.
- Foster a sense of belonging and community among children, educators, and families.
- Act as a mentor and leader in supporting children’s emotional regulation and social development.

Required Licence/Certification
- Valid British Columbia Infant/Toddler Educator License (required)
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate (required)
Qualifications:
Post Basic ECE
Additional Qualifications:
Experience & Qualifications
- Valid Infant Toddler Educator (ITE) License to Practice (BC)
- Valid First Aid Certificate including CPR-C
- Clear Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector screening
Required Experience:
- Experience working with infants and toddlers
- Ability to build warm, trusting relationships with very young children and their families
- Strong observation, documentation, and communication skills
- Commitment to inclusive, respectful care for all children
Salary & Benefits:
$28 to $31 based on experience
