The Facilitator works along with other staff to create an environment, which will provide a positive and enriching experience for parents and children attending the Parent-Tot Drop In.

CCRR free drop-in playgroups offer children a chance to socialize, explore diverse materials, become familiar with routines, familiarize with routines, and navigate conflict resolution.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Set up program materials for drop-in, keep equipment and rooms clean and in good order.
  2. Interact with the children and parents in a manner that clearly conveys acceptance and understanding.
  3. Develop and set up structured and unstructured play activities for children 0-6 years of age.
  4. Model appropriate communication and disciplinary strategies with children.
  5. Encourage parent involvement in programs (programming) and work with Parent Advisory by maintaining communication, offering support to strategize their vision of Parent & Tot. 

Qualifications:

Basic ECE

Salary & Benefits:

$25.95/hr as per BCGEU Collective Agreement
