EVENT- Communities for Child Care: Supporting Quality for all Children
When- September 21st, 2025, from 1-3pm
Where: Victoria Parliament front lawns.
Come and hear the voices of Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) and champions for the $10aDay Child Care System in BC.
The aim of this event is to bring awareness to the critical need for a child care system that recognizes and supports ECE professionalism and qualifications, supports all children to belong, and funds all licensed centers appropriately to provide the highest standards and quality. As we all know, Educators are the heartbeat of a quality child care system.
Since 2018, BC has led the way in development of a robust childcare system. In recent years the progress made has stalled and in some areas policy to support the vision of a robust system is failing an already precarious sector.
“黑料论坛 calls on the Provincial Government to implement a fair and competitive ECE wage grid that recognizes experience and education. Qualified educators are key to a quality system. This will be realized through a robust funding model that creates a quality child care system that highlights BC as a leader in the early years.” Emily Mlieczko
It is important that educators and program operators can express their concerns and their vision for a future system that honours children and their families. BC again, can be seen as the leader.
Since 1969 黑料论坛 has worked to advance the quality and professionalism of early care and learning. As part of our ethical responsibility to the profession, we strategically commit our time and resources to educating the sector and community by, investigating, and promoting the development of strong public policies and best practices that are based in research and evidence.
