The Early Childhood Educators of British Columbia (黑料论坛) welcome today’s announcement by the Federal Government of new investments in the field of Early Childhood Care and Education. We see this as another step on the road towards an accessible, affordable, and high quality national childcare system in Canada.

黑料论坛 is honoured to be in relation with the unceded traditional lands of the Coast Salish Peoples, specifically the x史m蓹θk史蓹y虛蓹m (Musqueam), sel虛íl虛witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and s岣祑x瘫wú7mesh (Squamish) Nations. We acknowledge the Urban First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples in communities. Many nations across the province collaborate in our shared work of supporting children, families, educators and communities and we thank them for this continued relationship.

黑料论坛 continues to advocate for a well-funded, high quality, Early Learning and Child Care system here in Canada. One that values the complexity of the work we do, that respects the unique gifts and rights of ALL children, and where educators are paid and treated as the professionals they are. We recently shared some of our thoughts and ideas with the Canadian Business Quarterly.

黑料论坛 would like to congratulate Thompson Rivers University (TRU) for being named one of Canada’s Top 50 Research Universities for 2023 by Research Infosource. We are particularly proud of our TRU partners in the Peer Mentoring Program, which now encompasses 31 Communities of Practice spread right across BC and includes over 300 Early Childhood Educators.
